Göbekli Tepe

There are so many speculations on why and who built Gobekli Tepe. One of the ones that struck me right away as the flood stories of the bible and ancient Babylon. There seem to be so many connections to the flood stories. Ignoring the physical location and timing it seems interesting that there are so many carvings of animals that do not live in this region anymore. Was this the final resting place of the ark? Was this the place where the world was re-populated from? Or… could it be that this place has an even more interesting story? Could it have been a part of the Garden of Eden?
