M Theory
M Theory is a theory that our universe is a thin paper like “membrane” that lies in a stack of other “membranes”, or dimensions. This discussion starts with the idea that if the M Theory is at all accurate, then there is a high chance that “alien” life may be walking around us at all times, saying that due to the string theory (a theory stating that instead of a particle being a single thing, a single point in space, that it is actually a string that vibrates in certain ways to become what we know it as. But the string continues beyond our range of perception (we see it from a single dimension… we see the cross section of the string only as we are limited to this dimension only, but if we could see the multi-dimensional universe, we could see that up to an infinite number of particles spanning the dimensions add up to comprise an individual string… or at least that is how I imagine it)). So this being said, it would be possible that multi-dimensional beings could be walking on our world without us being able to see them (Ghosts? Angels? Demons? Aliens? Gods? God?!). But that isn’t where I wanted to go with this topic…
… so the discussion continues about how the scientists of today are blasting particles into each other at near the speed of light in hopes to find the particle that carries gravity (graviton) and therefore help to better understand the universe. And then is claimed that this procedure is actually to find if the particle actually moved to a different membrane, or dimension, as a result of these collisions. And if the theory is sound enough to actually do experiments, I doubt if they aren’t on the path to proving this as a reality, and doing so quickly.
The comments below the original posting are what really grabbed my attention and took my mind for a bit of a journey last night. Concepts brought up were as follows:
- The holographic theory that basically says that we are hologram-like as we are limited to the boundaries of light. But I like to picture it like this… we are three dimensional beings, but yet give off a two dimensional shadow. What would a four dimensional object’s shadow appear like? Three-dimensional? What would a ten dimensional being’s shadow be like? Could we just be shadows of another dimension limited to the boundaries of “light” from this other dimension?
- Could the spiritual 7 planes of existence be applied to this theory? Could they be other “membranes”?
- I love this comment… “They can make the universe as complicated and magical as they want, but eventually you have to look into the mirror and let the mirror look into you”. To me, that pretty much says it all (and says nothing at the same time… which in itself again says it all)…
- Or how about this comment… “At the most basic fundamental level of physics science is slowly but surely discovering that our intention and thought, our focus, and observation is the root cause for the reality we have created”… “The fact is this, you are whats creating reality” … “Your mind is the universal creator” … hinting at the idea that the observer creates what is being observed, which only raises the question “What came first, the observer or the observation?” or maybe the more familar question of “What came first, the chicken or the egg?”
- One person brings up the drug DMT (something that is naturally released in your brain during both birth and death, but is also a synthesized illegal substance) that takes the user somewhere else, but unlike most hallucinatory drugs the user is very coherent and the user feels that they are actually there (I don’t know this to be true from experience, but I’ve known people who have done DMT and they can concur with this last statement). Some stories of doing DMT involve being taken somewhere and seeing other beings that have reacted negatively to their presence as if the user is somewhere that they shouldn’t be. Other stories of multiple people doing DMT at the same time bring them somewhere where they share the same experience… which could imply that what they are experiencing is real and therefore could be visiting another dimension. Keep in mind that most powerful hallucinogens have been used for spiritual journeys by most native cultures.
- So what if sending this particle to another dimension creates a negative reaction to the other dimension. Could this not been seen as an act of war? Could beings from the other dimension retaliate? Do we really understand the implications of our experiments?
It looks like soon that science may actually prove all the things that people have used the name of science to disprove: spirit, soul, religion, afterlife, etc. We find ourselves in some crazy exciting times my friends….

Dude! this is worth a white lake weekend – I am on board with this theory. There should be a way to communicate across the branes – once we find it! Also reality being what we make it is a powerful idea. Of course living in the matrix makes this all the first level in the dream so some crazy shit should happen any day now!
